• Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2

    TEKsystems (Goodyear, AZ)


    Description: TEKsystems is actively looking for exceptional data center technicians looking to work on one of the worlds largest tech company's facilities out in Goodyear Arizona! If you have data center technician experience, then we want to speak with you!

     

    Set up and perform startups and shutdowns of equipment (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches).

     

    Conduct post-execution quality checks and ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

     

    Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, identify issues, and replace faulty components.

     

    Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds).

     

    Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Datacenter Technician Leads.

    Requirements:

    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

     

    Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

     

    1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

     

    Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

     

    Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.

     

    Previous datacenter experience is a plus.

    Looking for L1 and L2 DC Techs (compensation varies based on experience)

     

    Needed PPE

     

    Feet: composite toe-boots which cover the ankle, has a slip resistant sole, and meets specifications set-forth in the American Society of Testing Material (ASTM) International Standard F2413-05, Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear.

     

    Eyes: ANSI, CE, or EN approved Safety Glasses with side shields

     

    Hands: Level 5 cut/abrasion/impact- resistant gloves

     

    High Visibility Vests

     

    Head: ANSI, CE, or EN approved Hard Hat or bump cap

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
