Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Long-Term Acute Care
Assignment Duration: 13–26 weeks (with extensions available)
Start Date: Flexible
Schedule: 3x12 NOC shift, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Compensation
Local Pay Package:
+ Hourly Rate: $64/hour
+ Weekly Total (36 hours): $2,304 (taxable)
Travel Pay Package:
+ Taxable Base Pay: $45/hour
+ Weekly Taxable Total (36 hours): $1,620
+ Non-Taxable Stipends:
+ Meals: $476/week
+ Housing: $770/week
+ Total Weekly Gross: $2,866
Job Summary
This RN position provides comprehensive nursing care to medically complex pediatric and young adult residents in a long-term acute care setting. The RN leads care planning, supervises LPNs and CNAs, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, individualized care.
Requirements
Licensure:
+ Active RN license (WA or Compact)
Experience:
+ Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience
+ Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience (required)
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans
+ Administer medications and treatments
+ Monitor and document resident conditions
+ Coordinate off-site medical appointments
+ Maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance
+ Supervise LPNs and CNAs
+ Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
Skills & Abilities
+ Pediatric, vent/trach, and DDA experience
+ Strong leadership and communication skills
+ Critical thinking and clinical judgment
+ Physical stamina (lift up to 40 lbs, long shifts)
+ Cultural sensitivity and family-centered care
