• Middle School Teacher - Science

    Amergis (Chattanooga, TN)


    Salary: $1812 / Week

     

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle SchoolScience Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspirecuriosity and a love for science in students, while delivering engaging,standards-based instruction in a supportive and well-managed classroomenvironment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Implement daily science lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and adapted to meet the needs of diverse learners.

    + Create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration in life, earth, and physical sciences.

    + Establish and maintain a positive rapport with students, encouraging academic and personal growth.

    + Use effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.

    + Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to support student success and school initiatives.

    + Integrate technology and lab-based activities to enhance student learning and engagement.

    + Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and families.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or a related science field.

    + Valid teaching license/certification for middle school science (as required by state or district).

    + One year of teaching experience preferred, especially in a middle school setting.

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable).

    + Completion of TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

    + Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation).

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.
