    Associate Product Manager

    We are seeking a business-minded, detail-oriented Associate Product Manager to join our Marketing team. This individual will support product lifecycle activities, assist with commercialization, and help develop technical and marketing collateral that drives adoption and engagement.

     

    You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Applications, Marketing, and Operations to ensure our products are market-ready, customer-focused, and competitively positioned.

    Job Description

    Market & Product Insights:

    + Conduct market research and gather customer insights to inform product strategy

    + Support voice-of-customer (VOC) efforts through interviews, surveys, and feedback collection

    + Analyze industry trends and competitor positioning

     

    Product Lifecycle & Execution

     

    + Assist in managing product roadmaps, documentation, and feature development

    + Track product performance, customer feedback, and improvement opportunities

    + Participate in new product introductions (NPI), beta testing, and internal launches

     

    Technical Collateral Development

     

    + Collaborate with Applications and Engineering to develop and maintain: Datasheets, Application notes, Product manuals, Specifications documents, Tech briefs and product FAQs

    + Ensure all documents are accurate, consistent, and aligned with product positioning

    + Work with Marketing to convert technical content into customer-facing sales tools

     

    Support Existing and New Products

     

    + Monitor product performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement

    + Work with Engineering, Service, and Quality to implement product updates, fixes, or part changes

    + Help manage end-of-life (EOL) planning and communication

    + Ensure that Sales and Applications teams are equipped with the latest collateral and positioning

    + Track usage trends, customer satisfaction, and service issues to support continuous improvement

     

    Support New Product Development (NPD)

     

    + Participate in cross-functional product development meetings

    + Help define user needs, use cases, and feature prioritization

    + Coordinate beta testing, gather feedback, and translate findings into actionable insights

    + Assist in the preparation of launch materials, internal training, and go-to-market assets

    + Collaborate with marketing to ensure product value is clearly communicated through both technical and promotional content

    + Support post-launch tracking, VOC follow-up, and iteration planning

     

    Commercial & Sales Enablement

     

    + Assist with pricing models, business cases, and value proposition development

    + Support creation of training decks, competitive comparisons, and sales playbooks

    + Help coordinate product launch campaigns and go-to-market assets

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

     

    + Serve as a key liaison between product, engineering, marketing, and field teams

    + Respond to internal and external product inquiries with technical clarity

    + Support tradeshows, webinars, and customer demos as needed

     

    Skills and Competencies

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of scientific workflows in diagnostics, genomics, proteomics, or laboratory automation.

    • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning to support commercial strategy.

    • Skilled in creating technical collateral such as product datasheets, brochures, application notes, and case studies.

    • Highly organized with experience managing timelines, tasks, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides); experience with CRM, ERP, or PLM systems a plus.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

    Bonus Qualifications:

    • Experience with liquid handling, dispensing, or scientific instrumentation is a strong plus.

    • Familiarity with regulatory documentation, product compliance, or technical writing is beneficial.

    • Understanding of product lifecycle management and new product introduction (NPI) processes.

     

    Education and Experience

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

    Experience:

    • 2–3 years of experience in life science, diagnostics, or biotech industry, preferably in product marketing, product management, or business development.

    • Proven ability to support product launches, market analysis, and sales enablement in a technical or scientific environment.

    • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, applications, and operations.

     

    The base salary range for this role is $65,000- $80,000. The role is eligible to participate in the company's discretionary bonus program.
