Summary You will serve as a WOODWORKER in WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS - KEYPORT within the PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Keyport, Washington. Responsibilities You will improvise plans in order to brace and package irregular or unbalanced items by applying technical judgment. You will construct and repairs wood or fiberboard boxes, dividers, or protective framing for individual shipments or specialized storage. You will use woodworking tools and equipment, measures, cuts and manufacture proper shipping containers, fitting blocking, bracing, cradles or other dunnage, utilizing wood and wood composite material. You will pack material, including classified, hazardous material and inert ordnance items, and equipment in boxes or crates applying proper wrapping, liners, cradles, cushioning or other protective devices. You will prepare packing lists, complete shipping documents, and stencil or label identifying shipping and handling instructions on box or crate. You will operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in excess of 30,000-pound capacity. You will load, unload, tarp and un-tarp, and blocks and braces material on trucks, flatbeds, vans, intermodal containers, and other conveyances; unitizing material in accordance with established requirements.
