Job Description
Provide direct executive level administrative support to the Vice President for Student Engagement and Enrollment Services. Review, summarize, prioritize and expedite daily workflow and assist in carrying out the broad management functions required by the Vice President.

Demonstrated ability to draft and prepare correspondence, reports, special projects, spreadsheets, agendas and minutes. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professional and para-professional staff, University officials, external agencies and variety of individuals who may seek this office for assistance. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and plan executive level administrative support activities. Demonstrated ability to independently initiate and carry out projects. Demonstrated knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Sound critical thinking skills for independent decision making and problem solving. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to promote efficient workflow. Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures. Level and type of experience
Considerable experience as an administrative assistant supporting a mid to high level administrator. Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software and database applications.

Some experience working in a college or university setting. Working knowledge of Old Dominion University policies and procedures. Some experience with Banner Student Information System.
Conditions of Employment
Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate Salary is commensurate with education and experience and begins at $ - 65,000
