    Job Summary

The Sen Lab at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) is seeking a qualified Research Area Specialist Associate to provide support for the conduct of the Intern Health Study, a national NIH-funded longitudinal cohort study that assesses genetic, mobile technology, and program factors involved in the development of depression under stress. As a part of the study, 1500 to 3000 participants per year complete surveys pertaining to personality traits, stressful life events, and psychological symptoms, and submit daily mood ratings via the Intern Health mobile app. They also wear a Fitbit or Apple Watch for the purpose of measuring activity and sleep, and provide a salivary DNA sample.

The Research Area Specialist Associate will work under the direction of the study director, as well as in close collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students, study staff, and the Principal Investigator. The opportunity to pursue independent research projects would also be available.

The majority of job tasks can be accomplished remotely. However, the study coordinator may need to be onsite 5 to 10 hours per week to oversee data collection and supervise undergraduate Research Assistants in the lab.
