Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical), Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training
The Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah invites applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE ) Career-line, (Clinical) Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical), depending on experience. The faculty member will teach in the Hybrid Pathway of the Master of Athletic Training Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Teach in the area of expertise within their Master’s degree or in Athletic Training
o Delivering high-quality education in a hybrid format. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in online/hybrid teaching and innovative instructional strategies. Faculty are expected to demonstrate content expertise, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and contribute to an innovative learning environment.
* Recruit, advise, and mentor students enrolled in the professional Master of Athletic Training program.
* Perform service appropriate to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in online/hybrid teaching and innovative instructional methodologies
+ Prior experience mentoring athletic training students
Required Qualifications:
+ Terminal Degree (PhD, EdD, ScD, DAT )
+ Be able to obtain athletic training licensure in the state of Utah
+ Demonstrate human relations and effective communication skills
+ Commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service

The Department is home to three offerings 1) DPT Program with three pathways, 2) PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences 3) MAT Program and post-professional Physical Therapy Residencies.
