Department: Financial Management Patient Accounting Administration

Hours: M-F, 8am-4:30pm, Hybrid

Summary:

+ The Cash Quality Processor is responsible for the following tasks:1. Preparation and posting of daily cash receipts2. Completion of daily transaction logs and payment reports3. Loading, verifying and posting of electronic remittances4. Identification of unposted cash5. Download, review and record eft payments.6. Record and post PGM- International payments along with Interdepartmental transfers7. Research and notify Manager of any unprocessed items

Responsibilities:

-Review daily bank statement and record EFT payments for assigned payers and record and maintain totals on monthly spread sheets.

-Load/posting electronic remittances using the system in place for Hospital, EPIC, payments from various commercial and manage care payers.

-Balancing, downloading and saving posting reports and completing transfer reports for the reclass of funds.

-Review payer websites to obtain eobs for manual items and apply payments.

-Research any unprocessed items and notify Manager of any issues.

-Review and process PGM deposits and Transfer requests.

-Maintain and balances PGM Audit and Deposit reports.

-Utilizes Business track to research, record, and report credit card disputes.

-Utilize the Hospital, EPIC, system to review and process Interdepartmental payments.

-Research, process, and address NSF transactions

-Complete/maintain appropriate logs and documents

- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

- Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Education or Equivalent Experience:

+ H.S. Diploma/GED and 0-1 years of experience in healthcare settings and computerized medical systems. (Required)

+ 0-1 years of experience in electronic data reconciliation. (Required)
