    Job Description

    Meadow Gold Dairy in Boise, Idaho has an immediate job opening for a dependable Custodian/Groundskeeper to clean, sanitize the interior/exterior building.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00 PM to 08:00 PM

     

    Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

     

    + Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces

    + Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders

    + Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters

    + Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms

    + Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests

    + Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility

    + Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)

    + Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed • Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE

    + Implement all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

    Requirements

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Janitorial or cleaning experience preferred

    + Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    + Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals

    + Able to work safely and follow established policies and procedures

    + Able to follow directions and carry out instructions with little supervision

    + Able to legibly write entries for record keeping

    + Able to perform simple math

    + Must be able to read, write and speak English
