Position Overview
Shaw Industries is seeking a Digital Operations Manager. The Digital Operations Manager for Samples is responsible for leading the Digital Lab, Print Services and the Trim Print teams for the Samples Division. They will partner with Samples IT in the mapping, planning, deployment and maintenance of Sample Systems to achieve organization objectives. To be successful, they will have the ability to influence and foster teamwork at all levels of the organization as well as collaboration with Marketing, Trim Coat and Rewrap operations, and other digital departments within Shaw.

Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day activities of digital operations within the Samples organization
• Ensure consistency of standards and processes to maintain and improve print quality, including color management
• Stay informed about what technology is available to push Shaw’s digital capabilities results and create improved customer experiences.
• Understand and communicate value propositions of each of the areas of responsibility
• Manage and resolve quality, pricing, and delivery issues with customers and suppliers.
• Work with Marketing and IT to establish path forward for digital in Shaw’s overall marketing strategy
• Work with Samples IT and outside vendors to develop systems that support digital operations.
• Assist corporate sourcing in the RFP (Request for Proposal) process to identify new vendors as needed.
• Monitor and track deliveries of materials and inventories to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to meet production plans and provide uninterrupted flow of services.
• Ensure the effective scheduling of people, machines, materials, and support services to achieve maximum team efficiency in meeting production requirements.
• Participate in and conduct supplier site visits, audits, change actions, and investigations as required.
• Establishment and improvement of performance metrics, including financials.
• Responsible for building strong supplier relationships while maintaining highest code of ethics and conduct.
• Ensure superior supplier performance based on quality, service and price.
• Work alongside corporate sourcing to develop and maintain competitive pricing from Shaw print suppliers where required.
• Assist in root cause analysis to determine failures in the manufacturing process.
• Lead a team of 3 distinct departments: Digital Lab Team, Corporate Print Services Team, & Trim Print Team
Qualifications
• 4-year business related degree OR 3+ years of management experience in a digital production environment.
• Ability to manage, develop and grow direct and indirect reports.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for results, strategy and execution.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to explain data and metrics to a non-technical audience.
