Position Overview
Shaw Industries is searching for an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to g uide and develop associates in Industrial Engineering and Accounting . This person will autonomously work on initiatives that you deem important or as assigned to you, which may require being on a team and/or leading a team. Drive continuous improvement and seek ways to assure financial accountability .

Responsibilities:
+ Lead the plant in determining cost reduction goals and developing strategies to attain them.
+ Lead improvement opportunities utilizing tools including, but not limited to, Six Sigma, Lean, Work-Study, etc.
+ Understand the Plant Operating Variance Analysis (POVA) / Financial Statement, establish variance projections, and explain the delta between projected variance and actual variance.
+ Lead financial training events to increase the financial acumen of key plant personnel.
+ Maintain and ensure accuracy of yarn cost sheets and standards.
+ Supervise, support, and coach IE resources.
+ Manage the plant's operating budget process.
+ Responsible for bi-annual asset audits.
+ Prepare presentations related to plant performance.
+ Maintain or create appropriate capacity levels and lead efforts to balance capacity across the plant.
+ Lead the plant in creating annual Cap-Ex budget.
+ Ability to write, review, and approve capital or expense projects, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness.
+ Lead the implementation of capital or expense projects.
+ Meet Sarbanes Oxley audit requirements.
+ Assist with systems as needed (development, improvement, or problem resolution).
+ Coordinate response to any Management request.
+ Occasional off-shift auditing of inventory and/or job procedures.
Qualifications:
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial and production reports
+ Ability to effectively present information to others
+ 4 Year Degree
+ 1+ year in a manufacturing environment
+ Must be proficient in Excel, Minitab, Word, Windows, PowerPoint
Preferred:
+ Industrial Engineering, Management, or Finance related degree .
