    This position is a multi-process position which requires knowledge and training in three major areas of the conventional operations. This includes Batching and mixing, Extrusion and Drying, and Green-ware storage and handling. The successful incumbent must understand the specific process and product control requirements. This position requires the measurement and documentation of the process and quality requirements as defined by product set-ups and work instructions.

     

    Batching & Mixing

     

    - Ensuring the accuracy of batching prior to the start of each shift through;

     

    - Verification of formulation

     

    - Verification of scales and defined process controls

     

    - Ensuring that raw materials are used in order of their intended use as defined by the material usage sheet and or formulation

     

    - Ensuring raw materials are available in sufficient quantity to ensure uninterrupted operation

     

    Extrusion & Drying

     

    - Set-up equipment according to product specific set-ups

     

    - Control product in accordance with defined process quality standards and work instructions

     

    - Document process and quality conditions as required

     

    Green-ware Storage & Handling

     

    - Ensure that green-ware is dried in accordance to defined process quality standards and work instructions

     

    - Control product in accordance with defined process quality standards and work instructions

     

    - Ensure product identification and traceability are maintained

     

    - Store material in a manner which ensure that it is safe, protected against loss and efficiently managed by Kiln ProcessHigh school diploma or verifiable GED required

     

    Ability to work with a shift team is a must

     

    Ability to learn and operate processes using HMI (Human Machine Interface)

     

    Ability to safely operator mobile equipment such as fork-lift and scissor lift

    Ability to learn and operate basic computer skills are a must;

    • MS Excel and MS Word

    • Data Historian (Wonderware)Vision - important if color distinction, visual inspection, measuring/assembling at distance close to eye is essential to job

     

    Reading and Writing - Expressing or receiving detailed information by nonverbal means

     

    Climb/Balance - important if the amount and kind of climbing or balancing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion

     

    Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crouch/Crawl -important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles

     

    Standing/Walking: Particularly for sustained periods of time

     

    Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time

    Finger/Grasp/Handle/Feel: Working, primarily with fingers
