**Job Title:** Human Resources Manager

**Location:** Taylor, MI (Fully Onsite)

**Employment Type:** Direct Hire, Permanent

**Schedule:** Full-Time, Monday–Friday

**Salary Range:** $70,000–$85,000

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a growing organization in Taylor, MI. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Vice President of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR compliance, employee relations, and team management, with familiarity in DOT-regulated environments.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding across multiple business units, including DOT-regulated transportation roles

+ Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures

+ Maintain accurate and compliant employee documentation

+ Handle conflict resolution, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary actions

+ Supervise an HR team of three (Payroll/Benefits Coordinator, Driver Recruiter, Safety & Compliance Manager)

+ Plan and manage employee engagement activities and company events

+ Attend and support union grievance meetings and arbitrations as needed

+ Administer FMLA, medical leaves, and workers' compensation processes

Qualifications:

+ 2–5+ years of Human Resources Management experience required

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

+ Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

+ Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry compliance

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

+ Familiarity with employment law, FMLA, and HR compliance standards

+ Experience in employee relations, HR metrics, and recruitment strategies
