General Summary
Responsible for providing business support for the HR Absence Team within Total Rewards. This includes absence related support to the organization, participation in analysis and solution development efforts related to Paid Time off (PTO), Sick Leave plans, Leave of Absence (LOA), Disability, return to work, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
+ Maintains knowledge of HR Absence Management policies, workflows, and record keeping requirements.
+ Supports alignment of standard business processes with WellSpan's requirements and identifies gaps, areas for improvements and ways to improve employee customer service.
+ Provides support and guidance to employees and leaders related to policy, absence plans, absence balances and processes. Recommends adjustments and change requests while assisting with absence related concerns.
+ Documents and prepares reports pertinent to LOA's leave requests, required notices, forms, and letters for process and timeliness.
+ Educates and supports employees and supervisors on absence management and leave processes. Partners with HR, Payroll, UKG team members, etc. on absence related processes that connect the work of all teams.
+ Maintains time records for employees on leaves of absence determining when the waiting week has been satisfied. Using specific pay codes, enters STD, sick, or PTO leave hours based on the type and the length of the leave.
+ Performs routine audit of leaves to reflect correct assignment status and daily disability entry ensuring the employee's time record is an accurate depiction of applied hours to correct day on the employee schedule.
+ Assists with the coordination of the return-to-work process, including accommodation requests and leave expirations.
+ Interacts with other departments within the company, including IT, Benefits, and Employee Health to ensure steady continuation of care.
+ Maintains accurate information within the database.
+ Interacts and maintains regular contact with employees and supervisors and responds appropriately and efficiently to requests for service and/or assistance. Answers questions/ inquiries to resolve questions and concerns orally or in writing.
+ Participates, provides input and support for training materials, communications, notifications etc. for continual improvements to reference materials.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
+ Bachelors Degree HR Management, Business, Information Technology, or related field. Preferred
Work Experience:
+ 2 years Absence Management and/or HR related experience . Required
+ Experience working with HCM/ERP applications such as Lawson or Oracle. Preferred and
+ 2 years Experience working with Absence Management such as: PTO, Sick Leave plans, LOA, Eligibility, Disability, return to work, Workflow, and Reporting. Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Strong analytical skills.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong time management skills a must.
