    FTE: Full Time, 1.00 FTE, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

     

    Shift: Days

     

    Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

    Job Summary:

    The Medical Assistant Educator - Shared Services Specialty is a key member of the clinical education team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs for medical assistants across multiple specialties and clinical settings. This role supports the standardization of clinical competencies and best practices across the organization's shared services, ensuring consistency in patient care, regulatory compliance, and employee development. The Educator will collaborate with clinical leadership, subject matter experts, and operational teams to assess training needs, implement targeted educational initiatives, and promote continuous learning within a dynamic healthcare environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and facilitate onboarding, orientation, and continuing education programs for medical assistants in shared service lines, including but not limited to cardiology, radiology, oncology, and urgent care.

    + Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and performance metrics to ensure skill acquisition and knowledge retention.

    + Collaborate with clinical leaders and quality teams to identify knowledge gaps and address them with targeted training interventions.

    + Standardize and maintain up-to-date training materials, clinical protocols, and instructional content aligned with current medical standards, organizational policies, and accreditation requirements.

    + Conduct hands-on clinical skills training, including phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection, and vital sign assessment.

    + Serve as a clinical mentor and resource to medical assistants, fostering professional growth and promoting a culture of excellence.

    + Assist in the implementation of electronic health record (EHR) training and support, ensuring accurate and efficient clinical documentation.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance activities related to clinical education and patient safety.

    + Track and report training participation, certification compliance, and performance outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

    + Stay current with industry trends, evidence-based practices, and regulatory changes affecting clinical education and ambulatory care services.

    Requirements:

    + Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, Preferred: Associate Degree in Medical Assisting.

     

    Required Licensure/Certification: Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.

     

    + Minimum Experience: 3 years of recent experience practicing as medical assistant.

    + BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
