Job Description
Were seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. Youll handle day-to-day bookkeeping, process payables/receivables, and support contract billing for our grant funded projects.
Daily Transactions: Record and post journal entries to keep the general ledger accurate.
Accounts Payable: Process invoices, match POs, handle payments, and reconcile vendor accounts.
Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Grant Billing: Prepare billing for grants, track expenses, and compile documentation for reimbursements.
Month-End Close: Support reconciliations, accruals, and preliminary financial reporting.
Audit & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready files and assist with external audits.
Process Improvement: Recommend ways to enhance accounting workflows and controls.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of hands-on accounting experience; nonprofit or grant accounting experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication; ability to interact professionally with vendors, grantors, and team members. Demonstrated experience in nonprofit operations and mission-driven environments null
