    Summary:

    Our client in the Meadville PA area is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to support the activities of the plant Quality department which is responsible for manufacturing glass for the automotive and solar industries. The ideal candite will coordinate effective process control activities to ensure conformance to customers, divisions, and plant quality standards plus government regulations. The Quality Engineer will Manage CTQ product requirements and control plans, at production areas, work to improve the organization and plants efficiency and profitability by reducing waste and process variation. In addition, the ideal candidate will establish critical to quality equipment verification and validation procedures and monitor performance and frequency of these instruments and equipment that impact on Quality Customer Requirements. The Quality Engineer will also be responsible for coordinating and ensuring process & product quality testing equipment calibrations and verifications schedules are met.

    Contributions:

    • Quality Assurance & Control:

    • Conduct regular inspections and audits for products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to enhance product consistency and reliability.

    • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze quality data, metrics, and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

    • Prepare comprehensive quality reports for management, highlighting quality performance and improvement initiatives.

    • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality concerns and implement improvements.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field- Associates and applicable experience may equivalate-( Quality or science degree may work)

    • Minimum of 4 solid years of experience- Automotive/ Aerospace/ high speed of equipment or a similar industry/field (Alcoa/Alconic)

    • extensive quality engineer expertise

    • Application software experience

    • Flexibility is key; daily tasks may shift based on production schedules and urgent quality issues.

    • Continuous learning and adaptation to new quality standards and technologies are vital for success in this role.

     

    Ability to communicate with a variety of professionals both technical and non-technical · Glass production industry experience

     

    • Experience with SAP

    • Lean 6 Sigma experience

    • Quality engineer certifications null
