Insight Global is looking for a Sr. React Native Engineer in the San Antonio or REMOTE area. This person will join an innovative R&D team where cutting-edge technology meets rapid development cycles. We're rebuilding a legacy mobile application from the ground up using React Native and Expo, leveraging the power of AI-assisted development to achieve unprecedented velocity and quality. The Senior React Native Engineer who embodies the future of mobile development - someone who has mastered the art of AI-assisted coding and can deliver exceptional results at lightning speed. This role is perfect for a developer who has evolved beyond traditional hand-coding and leverages AI tools to achieve 95-100% code generation efficiency while rebuilding complex mobile applications. They will rebuild and modernize legacy mobile applications using React Native and Expo. Rapidly prototype and iterate on mobile solutions in a fast-paced experimental environment. Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for maximum development velocity. Design and implement cross-platform mobile features with native performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand legacy app requirements and user workflows. Drive architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable mobile applications. Mentor team members on AI-assisted mobile development best practices. Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services.

Skills and Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of professional React Native experience in production environments

- Extensive experience with Expo ecosystem and development tools

- Proficiency with React Native CLI and understanding of native module integration

- Strong understanding of React hooks, state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand)

- Experience with mobile app architecture patterns and best practices

- Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and debugging techniques

- Familiarity with mobile app deployment and distribution processes

- Experience with mobile testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

- Extensive experience with AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Cline, etc.)

- Advanced prompt engineering skills - ability to craft precise, context-aware prompts that generate production-ready mobile code

- Currently shipping 95-100% AI-generated code in professional mobile projects

- Mastery of iterative prompt refinement and debugging AI-generated mobile solutions

- Experience with AI-driven testing, documentation, and code review processes for mobile apps - Native iOS development experience (Swift, Objective-C) for custom integrations

- Native Android development experience (Kotlin, Java) for custom integrations

- Experience with mobile app modernization and legacy system migration

- Knowledge of mobile security best practices and implementation

- Familiarity with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools

- Experience with mobile app store optimization and release management

- Background in rapid prototyping and MVP development

- Understanding of mobile accessibility standards and implementation null
