    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a skilled Data Reporting Engineer to support a local bank. The ideal candidate would sit in the central CT but will be remote for the right candidate.

     

    This project-based initiative focuses on modernizing legacy reporting systems within a banking environment. This role is 100% dedicated to project work, with no business-as-usual (BAU) responsibilities, and involves analyzing, reverse-engineering, and reengineering 100300 existing Crystal Reports into Tableau dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Tableau, SQL, and Crystal Reports, and will be responsible for understanding current report usage, collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to identify report owners and requirements, and rebuilding reports in Tableau with a focus on accuracy, performance, and usability. The role requires familiarity with SQL Server and Azure environments, and prior experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred. Working closely with Data team and data SMEs across the business, the engineer will also support QA efforts and contribute to the strategic transition away from end-of-life technologies like Crystal Reports, helping to establish a modern, scalable reporting infrastructure in Tableau. This role will likely extend until 2026.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -Experience migrating from Crystal Reports to Tableau, performing report analysis and reverse engineering reports

     

    -Previous banking experience

    -Extensive knowledge of Azure and SQL Server null
