    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with one of the most innovative gaming companies in the nation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting user-facing features that align with the organizations strategic goals, leveraging technologies such as Angular for front-end development, Java for back-end services, and AWS for cloud infrastructure. They will contribute directly to feature delivery through hands-on coding and collaborate with peers to identify and implement improvements in architecture and technology. This individual will proactively identify risks, escalate issues impacting product quality and delivery, and propose solutions to mitigate technical debt. As a respected team member, they will lead by example through high-quality work, integrity, and a professional, can-do attitude. The candidate will mentor junior developers, represent the team to management, and promote continuous learning by researching emerging technologies and industry trends. They will also support quality assurance by developing test plans, coordinating with QA engineers, and maintaining automation scripts using tools like Selenium. A strong advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD), they will ensure robust and resilient software solutions. Additionally, they will design and support front-end and back-end interaction protocols for consumer-facing products and foster team growth through coaching and knowledge sharing. This is a full-time permanent role with an employee-focused, innovative company based out of the Louisville or Lexington, KY area.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    1+ year of experience with cloud computing, preferably AWS

     

    3-4 years Angular experience, specifically SPA style coding / applications, React ok but Angular preferred

     

    3-5 years Java experience

     

    Experience developing consumer-facing applications

     

    Experience with Serverless technologies

     

    Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts. - Experience working with Python and Golang

     

    - AWS Certification(s) (Solution Architect / DevOps Certifications Preferred)

    - Experience in the gaming, racing, or gambling industry null
