Job Description
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the network infrastructure. This includes WAN/LAN, wireless, firewalls, fiber optics, and cloud connectivity. Working under the guidance of the Senior Network Engineer, this role ensures secure, high-performing, and resilient network operations that support both on-premises and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, customer-focused, and able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching (Layer 2/3).
Experience with Meraki wireless solutions.
Proficiency with Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls and Panorama.
Familiarity with VXLAN and modern network segmentation practices.
Experience with Microsoft Server environments and backup strategies.
Scripting knowledge, preferably in Python (e.g., for Cisco DNAC automation).
Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be customer-facing and team-oriented.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Tactical thinker with a professional demeanor.
Personable and collaborative; able to navigate professional disagreements constructively.
Self-starter who can adapt quickly and contribute immediately.
Experience working in public sector or municipal environments is a plus. null
