    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer based in Richmond, Virginia. This Senior Linux Engineer must have 5+ years experience with installing, configuring, optimizing performance and resolving issues through RHEL 8 and 9 in enterprise-grade environments. Experience with patching and vulnerability remediation and using container technologies, such as Docker and Podman, is required, including knowledge of CIS Benchmarks and DISA STIG compliance standards. This Engineer will also be creating and sustaining secure access control infrastructures using PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules). More key requirements include experience with Linux on Microsoft Azure, implementing and managing Linux workloads in cloud-based Azure infrastructure, and familiarity with Azure resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Monitor, and Security Center. This successful candidate should also understand how to demonstrate the ability to integrate Entra ID into Linux-based cloud environments, with a solid understanding of cloud networking and scalability. The pay rate for this role ranges from $55-65/hour depending on experience.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -5+ years experience with installing, configuring, optimizing performance and resolving issues through RHEL 8 and 9 in enterprise-grade environments

     

    -Creating and sustaining secure access control infrastructures using PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules)

     

    -Patching and vulnerability remediation

     

    -Container technologies (Decker and Podman)

     

    -Linux on Microsoft Azure, implementing and managing Linux workloads in cloud-based Azure infrastructure, and familiarity with Azure resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Monitor, and Security Center

     

    -understand how to demonstrate the ability to integrate Entra ID into Linux-based cloud environments, with a solid understanding of cloud networking and scalability, and high availability principles -Bash or Python for automation scripting

     

    -Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet tools

    -Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Nagios tools for analysis null
