    We’re seeking a Front Desk & Data Entry Specialist to provide essential administrative support to service members, civilians, and their families at the Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Hanscom Air Force Base. This is more than just a desk job—it’s a chance to be the welcoming face of a critical support hub.

     

    What You’ll Do

    Customer Engagement & Front Desk Support

    + Greet and assist walk-in clients and telephone callers in a professional and welcoming manner.

    + Determine the nature of client needs and direct them to the appropriate M&FRC team member.

    + Promote awareness of M&FRC programs and services during client interactions.

    Scheduling & Program Coordination

    + Register clients for M&FRC classes and workshops, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

    + Coordinate Transition Assistance Program (TAP) sessions and send reminders per program guidelines.

    Data Entry & Records Management

    + Enter and maintain data in AFFIRST and other tracking systems.

    + Monitor client sign-ins and generate monthly usage reports in the required format.

    Facility Upkeep & Administrative Support

    + Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area—align chairs, restock materials, and report any equipment issues.

    + Safeguard all government-provided equipment and materials in accordance with established security procedures.

     

    What You Bring

    Experience & Skills

    + Minimum of 12 months in a customer service or administrative role.

    + Strong computer proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), web-based applications (Edge, Chrome), and data entry platforms.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Professional demeanor and ability to interact constructively with a diverse clientele.

    Preferred Attributes

    + Familiarity with military protocol and support systems.

    + Understanding of the unique needs of military families and a sensitivity to working within that culture.

    + Self-motivated and organized, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
