**Coperion** is currently seeking a **Welder** to support our location in Whitewater, WI. There is a lot of room for growth in other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, a very clean production floor and great people to work with!

Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon

Responsibilities:

+ Performs welding and/or fitting, set-up, and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products

+ Basic ability to read prints, tolerances, and job requirements

+ Cleans and/or grinds welds

+ Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean, safe and orderly work environment

+ Checks of quality of welds, repairing as needed

+ Performs basic use of grinders, bevellers, torches, and other standard welding equipment

+ Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S

+ Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures

Required** **Education/Experience/Skills:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Welding Certificate or 3 or more years' welding experience

+ Prior TIG Welding required

+ Mechanical aptitude

+ Familiarity with blueprint reading

+ Ability to multitask

+ Basic computer knowledge preferred

+ Dependability a must

+ Blueprint and Schematic Reading required
