Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Janitor to join their team. As a Janitor, you will be part of the sanitation team supporting the overall cleanliness and safety of the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have forklift skills, the ability to accurately mix cleaning chemicals, and a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Janitor

**Location:** Altavista, VA

**Pay Range:** $18.06 per hour

**Shift:** 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

What's the Job?

+ Adhere to and perform all housekeeping and sanitation assignments guidelines and procedures as required.

+ Safely operate self-propelled floor scrubbers, floor buffers, and chemical buffers to meet sanitation requirements.

+ Clean and sanitize areas where raw ingredients are stored for manufacturing.

+ Maintain cleanliness in trailer dock door areas.

+ Perform minimal forklift driving as needed.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

+ At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of sanitation requirements.

+ Ability to accurately mix chemicals used in cleaning solutions.

+ Forklift driving experience is preferred.

+ Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
