BJC HealthCare System is hiring a **Full-Time** **RADIOLOGY TRANSPORTER -** **Imaging Technical Assistant** for **Parkland Health Center (Farmington, MO) -** **PHC RADIOLOGY**

Position Summary:

+ Day Shift Hours: Mon – Fri (8am-4:30pm)

+ Transporting patients, stocking linens, supporting radiology imaging team

+ Safely transport patients to and from radiology imaging areas

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and patient areas

+ _Location is near -Doe Run, MO – Park Hills, MO – Sainte Genevieve, MO – Bonne Terre, MO - Desoto, MO - Washington County, St. Francis County, Iron County, Madison County, Jefferson County_

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

+ **Hospital experience (preferred)**

+ **Working with patients experience (preferred)**

+ Prior experience in patient transport, healthcare support, or related field preferred.

+ Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely

+ Knowledge of hospital safety procedures and infection control standards.

+ Compassionate, patient-focused attitude

+ _Patient Escort, Transportation Aide, Transport Technician, and Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Assistant_ _(MA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)_

Overview

As part of BJC HealthCare, **_Parkland Health Center_** offers a unique combination of world-class medicine along with the deep local roots and rich history of its three predecessors – Bonne Terre Hospital (opened in 1911), Mineral Area Regional Medical Center (1952), and Farmington Community Hospital (1969). Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri – a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington as well as a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri.

In addition, Parkland’s Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre is a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study.

Radiology services offer CTScan and fluoroscopic services on an outpatient basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for performing routine duties in dealing with the daily operation of Radiology Services, including but not limited to patient transportation, radiographic film development and copying, stocking supplies and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

+ Schedules procedures, maintains medical record information, obtains prescriptions when necessary.

+ Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.

+ Maintains and ensures availability of supplies and equipment.

+ Follows up when necessary with outside films and calls in results.
