Summary You will serve as a PLASTIC FABRICATOR SUPERVISOR I in the Repair Department (Code 300) of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will plan, assign, and coordinate the work activities and personnel of the shop. You will control and assign manpower skills commensurate with priorities. You will continually analyze work schedules, assignments, and methods of operation to maintain level workloads, to meet deadlines and to improve productivity. You will determine manpower requirements, training needs, and material and facilities requirements for full squadron operations. You will assure that production and quality standards are met. You will keep the supervisor informed concerning work progress, technical and personnel problems, material and manpower requirements. You will coordinate work of the shop with other shops and with the ship's crew. You will assist subordinate employees in problem areas such as interpretation of complex instructions, non-availability of material, impact of emergent work, loss of schedule control, etc. You will assure that subordinates are provided with necessary instructions and guidelines to effectively carry out management objectives. You will schedule leave, evaluate performance, review personnel actions, and recommend selection, promotion, or reassignments of personnel. You will participate with higher management in discussions on workload, schedules, shop facilities, safety and training pipelines.
