    Hana Enterprises is recruiting for a Material Handling Laborer to join our team!

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities

     

    The Material Handling Laborer is responsible for performing physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.

     

    + Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customers

    + Receive furnishings into an organization and verify furnishings against service orders to ensure the accuracy of the delivery

    + Responsible for the inventory shipments and notating any discrepancies

    + Routing furnishings to storage location

    + Assisting Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery

    + Workers may use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring furnishings to an appropriate location

    + Assisting in weekly forklift maintenance

    + Cleaning and repairing furnishings

    + Unloading furniture/appliances from shipping containers

    + Ability to lift 75 Pounds

    + Strong Customer Service Skills

    + Required to perform inventory of property.

     

    Compensation

     

    $19.35 per hour

     

    plus

     

    $ 4.93 Health and Welfare

    Requirements

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required

    + 2 years specialized experience in DoD preferred

    + Must have a valid driver’s license

    + Knowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques required

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted is required

    + Ability to pass DoD background investigation required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    + Beginner to intermediate computer skills; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.

    + Ability to enter data accurately into databases

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

    + Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with customers and other crew members

    + Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.

    + Ability to follow a process

    + Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up

    + Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management

    + Ability to perform basic mathematical computations

    + High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently

    + Ability to multi-task.
