Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products Decatur is actively seeking a dynamic individual for the security guard position located in our facility. Our team demonstrates a firm commitment to taking care of our customers and a strong belief in work-life balance to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment.

+ Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and company guidelines regarding the safety of visitors and carriers coming on and leaving our facility.

+ Communication and coordination with other departments relating to deliveries and visitor appointments.

+ Communication with loading and receiving crews for timely coordination of incoming and outgoing loads. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.

This role is designed as a short-term position. The teammate must remain in the position for at least six months before becoming eligible to apply for a Production role. During this six-month period, the teammate will be expected to cross-train in Production to ensure they are prepared to transition into a Production position when eligible.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Aptitude to learn various computer applications to support the shipment of finished goods.

+ Highly detail oriented, organized, and capable of working in a steady-paced environment.

+ Bilingual
