Senior Program Manager
Serves as the lead and is responsible for the overall direction and management of all activities, ensuring execution is within defined performance, cost, and schedule parameters of a Project(s), Task Order or group of Task Orders.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ The PM shall provide the strategic planning, direction, coordination, and control necessary for effective and efficient accomplishment of all requirements of the project(s).
+ The PM will be experienced in personnel scheduling and ensuring support coverage.
+ The PM will provide PMO Management support to include: Portfolio Governance, Knowledge Management, Training Support, and Scheduling support.
+ The PM will have in-depth knowledge/expertise in executing Federal contracts and Federal security policies.
+ The PM will be experiences in developing and providing routine and ad hoc status reporting to key stakeholders, up to and including SES and CIO/Director level customers.
+ The PM will have the ability to explain technology clearly for a non-technical audience, and to synthesize information together from a variety of sources and be knowledgeable on all contract activities and interface directly with leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
+ 5 years demonstrated program and/or project management experience
+ 5 years demonstrated knowledge developing Program/Project Management (PM) documentation (e.g. project management plan, work breakdown structure, risk management plan, project schedule, meeting agendas, meeting minutes)
+ 3 years of DoD experience
+ 3 years of demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle or Systems Development Lifecycle or similar lifecycle management methodology
+ Ability to lead and manage technical oriented projects and personnel.
+ Demonstrated leadership experience in a DoD or DHS work environment and ability to handle more than one project at a time.
Required Education & Certifications
+ Bachelor’s degree (or higher-level degree) in Program/Project Management, Business Management, Finance, Information Technology/Computer Science, Logistics Management or related discipline
+ Active PMP Certification
