    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join a fast growing Financial Services firm in the Twin Cities. In this role, you will conduct in-depth financial analysis, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform detailed financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and evaluating project costs.

    • Prepare and analyze financial trends, expenses, and business conditions to identify and report significant variances.

    • Develop and execute short-term and long-term financial plans, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

    • Review and reconcile monthly journal entries and financial statements to ensure accuracy.

    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies within balance sheets and related accounts, ensuring proper follow-up.

    • Provide actionable recommendations to management on financial procedures, controls, and strategic plans.

    • Generate specialized financial reports and present findings through written and verbal communication formats.

    • Assist in updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

    • Offer guidance, training, and supervision to finance staff as needed.

    • Support additional accounting tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in finance, with relevant industry experience preferred.

    • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with additional skills in Word and PowerPoint.

    • Experience with accounting and general ledger software.

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.

    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
