Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accessibility Compliance professional to support digital accessibility efforts and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA and Section 508 standards.

What We're Looking For:

+ A completed Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) using VPAT 2.3 or higher.

+ Demonstrated compliance with WCAG 2.1 / Section 508.

+ Experience testing across platforms, browsers, and assistive technologies (JAWS, VoiceOver, etc.).

+ Proven tools, methods, and metrics for accessibility testing and remediation.

+ An established process for issue tracking, prioritization, and corrective action.

+ Accessibility integrated throughout the design and development lifecycle.

+ Ongoing training programs for development/testing teams.

+ A roadmap to full compliance (if not already achieved).

+ Experience working with third-party accessibility auditors.

+ An internal accessibility team, governance model, and a clear mission or policy statement.

Nice to Have:

+ Use of an Accessibility Maturity Model.

+ Ability to provide a live demo with a screen reader user.

+ Contact info for a dedicated accessibility lead.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of print production processes and techniques.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 and US Section 508.

• Experience in creating and maintaining Accessibility Conformance Reports.

• Ability to conduct thorough accessibility testing using assistive technologies and tools.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage accessibility initiatives and collaborate with teams.

• A commitment to staying updated on legal requirements and industry trends related to accessibility.

• Previous experience working with ADA accommodations and accessibility-focused design practices.
