Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Forest Hills, New York. This is a long-term contract position within the healthcare sector, offering an opportunity to contribute to essential billing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities:

• Process billing statements and invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and organizational guidelines.

• Maintain and update patient billing information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Generate reports related to billing activities for internal review.

• Provide support in auditing and reconciling billing records.

• Respond to inquiries from patients and insurance providers regarding billing issues. Requirements • Proven experience in billing or a related role within the healthcare industry.

• Proficiency in handling electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume tasks.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance providers, and team members.

• Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and practices.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
