Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a client in Burbank, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. The role is part-time, requiring 24-32 hours per week for approximately 5-6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices to ensure proper coding and accuracy.

• Maintain up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Perform check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.

• Assist with coding invoices and reconciling discrepancies.

• Support journal entry preparation and general ledger updates.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with financial policies.

• File and organize financial documents for easy retrieval.

• Handle basic Excel tasks to manage and analyze financial data.

• Ensure proper application of debits and credits in transactions.

• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

• Proficiency in processing invoices and coding them accurately.

• Familiarity with check runs and invoice reconciliation.

• Basic knowledge of debits, credits, and general accounting principles.

• Competence in using Excel for financial data management.

• Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and team members.
