    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for an IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization by managing critical receivables processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a collaborative approach to customer interactions.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage the accounts receivable process, including cash applications for credit card payments, checks, and organizational postings.

    • Perform reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

    • Handle soft collections for larger customer accounts, including follow-ups and account research.

    • Assist in audits of supplier invoices and reconcile payments to vendor accounts.

    • Generate and process weekly and monthly summary invoices and statements, addressing customer inquiries as needed.

    • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed financial insights.

    • Collaborate with customers to resolve payment issues and provide assistance with account-related questions.

    • Conduct reporting tasks to support month-end financial processes and ensure compliance.

    • Utilize NetSuite and other systems to manage payables and general ledger activities effectively.

    Requirements

    • In-depth knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, including cash applications and collections.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

    • Strong reconciliation skills, including experience with bank and account reconciliations.

    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external customers.

    • Proven problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

    • Experience with customer account research and providing payment assistance.

    • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as NetSuite for payables and general ledger.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
