Description

We are looking for a skilled Operations Manager to oversee operations at our marine terminals in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role involves ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant management of terminal activities, including logistics, labor coordination, and adherence to maritime regulations. Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations at marine terminals, ensuring smooth cargo handling and dockside services.

• Implement and enforce compliance with maritime laws, safety protocols, and environmental standards.

• Coordinate labor schedules and equipment usage to optimize terminal efficiency.

• Lead and mentor terminal operations staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all teams.

• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

• Develop and propose tariffs, rates, and pricing strategies for terminal services.

• Ensure all projects are completed within established deadlines and budget constraints.

Requirements • At least 5 years of proven experience in operations or supply chain management.

• Demonstrated expertise in marine terminal operations and logistics.

• Strong understanding of maritime laws, terminal logistics, and labor relations.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.

• Valid safety certification or equivalent training is preferred.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
