Description

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Winter Park, Florida. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting the organization's overall accounting processes. This is a contract to hire position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, ensuring invoices, payments, and collections are processed accurately and on time.

• Calculate and distribute monthly commissions for sales teams and partners, ensuring precision and timely payouts.

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts on a regular basis.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper filing and archiving of documentation.

• Assist in preparing audit materials and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Address partner inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently and professionally.

• Contribute to special projects and additional tasks as assigned by the finance department.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Experience with billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

• Skilled in using QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Prior experience in financial operations or accounting roles preferred.
