Description We are looking for a skilled Risk Analyst to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in mitigating enterprise-wide risks through effective remediation strategies and collaboration with key stakeholders. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in risk management while contributing to impactful initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee remediation plans aimed at addressing identified risks and ensuring timely execution.
• Manage the lifecycle of risk issues, including drafting, monitoring progress, and preparing closure packages.
• Collaborate with Risk Advisors and Issue Owners to create comprehensive closure packages and shepherd them through the approval process.
• Provide regular updates to Issue Execution Officers on priority tasks and project milestones.
• Conduct detailed document reviews to evaluate risks and identify gaps within existing processes.
• Utilize business analysis techniques to assess risk controls and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on risk mitigation strategies.
• Leverage tools like Microsoft Excel to analyze data and track remediation activities.
• Support the implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks across the organization.
• Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to enhance project execution and team collaboration. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in risk remediation and management within a detail-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
• Expertise in creating and managing remediation plans and activities.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and processes.
• Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including gap analysis and document review.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and tracking purposes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.
