    The Learning Designer/Trainer reports to the Director of Corporate Training. This role is focused on creating robust, engaging and effective learning experiences by designing educational materials, courses, and training programs enterprise wide as well as facilitating these learning experiences. This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts, utilizing instructional design principles, and leveraging various technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Curriculum Development** : Design, develop and implement educational curriculum for various formats (instructor-led training ,e-learning, blended learning)

    + **Needs Analysis:** Conduct needs assessments and analyze learner needs to determine appropriate instructional strategies and content development.

    + **Content Creation** : Create instructional materials including lesson plans, course outlines, storyboards multimedia elements, assessments, and supporting documents.

    + **Technology Integrations:** Utilize authoring tools and learning management systems and authoring tools to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.

    + **Evaluation and Improvement:** Assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and programs through data analysis; implement improvements based on evaluation results.

    + **Facilitation:** Facilitate trainings for employees (typically ranging in size from 1-50 employees).

    + **Collaboration** : Work with subject matter experts, trainers , and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.

    Qualifications

    **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

    **Experience** : 5+ years in instructional design, learning design, or training

     

    Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development and educational technology. Experience in life insurance preferred.

    Skills:

    + Strong understanding of instructional design models and principles (e.g. ADDIE, SAM)

    + Strong facilitation skills (in-person, hybrid, and virtually)

    + Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools

    + Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong project management and organizational skills

    + Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

    **Technical Skills:** Basic HTML/CSS knowledge, multimedia editing skills, and proficiency with various design programs

     

    Hybrid Work Model

     

    At our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday. At our Omaha location, employees will be on site 2 days per week.
