Description

Robert Half is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for our clients. The Staff Accountant is an essential position responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closings. Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare journal entries and manage general ledger transactions accurately and efficiently.

+ Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

+ Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, supporting variance and trend analyses.

+ Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions as needed.

+ Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records and accounts.

+ Collaborate with teammates on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.

+ Participate in routine and ad hoc tasks, including process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

+ 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Public accounting experience or internship preferred.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a plus (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).

+ CPA or pursuing CPA licensure is a bonus but not required.

+ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
