Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Orrville, Ohio. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the agriculture industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and a proven ability to handle various financial tasks with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure accurate tracking and timely payments.

• Perform thorough account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reporting.

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Handle sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions.

• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting procedures and workflows as needed.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in handling corporate tax, including preparation and filing of tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.

• Experience with journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Excellent skills in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
