Our client, a reputable organization in the real estate/property management industry, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join their team in beautiful downtown La Jolla, CA. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work in one of Southern California’s premier locations while supporting day-to-day property management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist in the daily management of residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency.
+ Respond to tenant inquiries and service requests, coordinating with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly.
+ Process leases, renewals, and notices, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
+ Manage tenant accounts, including collecting rent payments, tracking delinquencies, and following established protocols for late payments.
+ Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with lease agreements and identify potential maintenance needs.
+ Collaborate with the Property Manager to oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage service agreements.
+ Coordinate scheduling and logistics for repairs, maintenance, or tenant move-ins/move-outs.
+ Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring property profitability.
+ Maintain accurate records and files in compliance with internal policies and property management regulations.
Requirements
+ 2+ years of experience in property management or a related administrative role.
+ Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms) is preferred.
+ Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
+ A working knowledge of California rental laws and real estate regulations is a plus.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
