Description We are looking for a highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Addison, Illinois. This role involves managing high volumes of invoices with accuracy and efficiency, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and collaborating across departments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receivers to ensure data accuracy.

• Process freight invoices across multiple locations and enter non-purchase order invoices into the Sage Accounts Payable module.

• Utilize OnBase software to manage invoice routing and document workflows.

• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and handle requests for sales certificates.

• Collaborate with branches and other departments to address purchase order and invoice-related issues.

• Coordinate invoice selections for payment and prepare checks for mailing and filing.

• Manage fleet invoice reconciliations and pre-paid vendor accounts.

• Maintain organized filing systems for accounts payable documents and process manual checks when required.

• Post accounts payable credit card payments as needed and assist with administrative duties. Requirements • Minimum of one year of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.

• Proficiency with accounting software systems such as Sage and document routing tools like OnBase.

• Ability to process 250-300 invoices weekly while meeting accuracy and efficiency metrics.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when assigning invoices across multiple locations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor and internal interactions.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and maintain high levels of accuracy.

• Familiarity with Excel formulas and advanced data entry skills.

• Experience in vendor management and handling accounts payable functions effectively.
