Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Manager to join our client's team on a contract-to-hire basis in El Cajon, California. This role is vital to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations in a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing payroll systems, processing payments, and handling compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and processing of payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a bi-weekly basis.

• Manage timecard approvals, pay adjustments, and direct deposit setups to ensure timely and accurate compensation.

• Handle overtime calculations and ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.

• Administer mileage payouts and other employee reimbursements.

• Monitor payroll data and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and human resources functions.

• Lead the transition and implementation of payroll software systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies to maintain payroll accuracy.

• Provide support for benefits administration, including 401k contributions and other employee programs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll management within a healthcare or similar industry.

• Proficiency in UKG.

• Strong understanding of accounting functions, auditing, and benefit administration.

• Familiarity with full-cycle payroll processes, including compliance with labor laws.

• Knowledge of 401k and RRSP administration.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with HR and other departments.
