Description

We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate billing processes and supporting the financial operations of a healthcare provider. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in medical billing within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with accuracy and efficiency.

• Verify patient insurance information and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely payments.

• Follow up on outstanding claims and communicate with insurance companies to address denials or rejections.

• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and update patient accounts as necessary.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify billing codes and procedures.

• Monitor compliance with billing regulations and ensure adherence to healthcare standards.

• Generate regular reports on billing performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Assist patients with billing inquiries and provide clear explanations of charges.

• Stay up-to-date with changes in medical billing practices and industry requirements.

Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting.

• Strong understanding of insurance claim processes and billing regulations.

• Proficiency in medical coding and familiarity with healthcare billing software.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication abilities to interact with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare staff.

• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
