Description We are looking for a dynamic Property Administrator to join our team in La Jolla, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the daily operations and leasing activities of a thriving real estate community. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, administrative tasks, and property management while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate leasing activities, including preparing lease agreements, conducting move-in and move-out inspections, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Manage rent collections, service requests, and other financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain knowledge of available units, rental rates, policies, and marketing materials to attract prospective tenants.
• Perform weekly market comparisons to monitor competitive properties and optimize marketing strategies.
• Inspect vacant and model units daily to ensure they are in optimal condition for showings.
• Process rental applications promptly and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws.
• Develop relationships with prospective residents and local businesses to promote the property and increase occupancy.
• Assist with special projects, vendor interactions, and property-related initiatives as needed.
• Maintain accurate traffic logs, unit availability reports, and guest card records to support leasing and management activities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, including safety guidelines and continuing education requirements. Requirements • Previous experience in property management, leasing, or a related field.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems, CRM platforms, and tools such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing functions, and budget processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and deliver high-impact presentations.
• Ability to conduct market research and analyze competitive data to inform leasing strategies.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, Equal Opportunity Employment practices, and other relevant laws.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
