Description
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska, and play a pivotal role in overseeing corporate tax operations. This position offers an opportunity to lead tax reporting and tax compliance efforts, provide strategic tax advice, and contribute to the success of our organization within the agricultural manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either Public Accounting Tax and/or Corporate Tax and a proven ability to independently manage complex tax-related tasks.
This is a full-time, permanent salaried role with year-end bonus pay and full comprehensive benefit coverage/retirement plan. This role is located in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review intricate corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct in-depth research on tax legislation and provide strategic advice to optimize tax outcomes.
• Identify and implement effective tax strategies to enhance the organization’s financial position.
• Assist in managing audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Perform comprehensive reviews of annual income tax provisions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor entry-level team members, fostering growth and development.
• Manage client engagements, including gathering information, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff to improve performance and ensure quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients to address complex tax matters and offer tailored solutions.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for growth and enhancing client relationships.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a tax position, either in corporate tax or public accounting tax, including experience with tax compliance and yearly tax reporting.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex corporate income tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and provisions.
• Experience with income tax audits and responding to tax authority inquiries.
• Ability to develop and implement tax strategies for organizational optimization.
• Ability to manage external requests and communication with taxing authorities and audit liaison.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
