Description
Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our automotive client on a 3+ month hybrid schedule engagement. This role involves building the Profit & Loss statement (P& L) from the bottom up, overseeing the entire P& L for the Auto Segment, and assisting with the transition arising from current personnel departures. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be in charge of day-to-day operational responsibilities and support key reporting processes while communicating across multiple business units.
Responsibilities:
• Build and manage comprehensive Profit & Loss (P& L) statements for the Auto Segment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct variance analyses and reconcile monthly financial reports to support effective decision-making.
• Prepare and oversee managerial reporting, including month-end processes, by gathering and consolidating data across multiple business units.
• Lead the development of mid-term financial plans, including 3-year expense forecasts and 6-year investment projections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining clear and efficient communication to finalize financial reports and budgets.
• Develop and monitor budgets for incentive and marketing initiatives.
• Utilize advanced tools, including Excel and multidimensional databases, for financial reporting and data reconciliation.
• Provide operational support during transitional periods and assist with mid-term planning processes.
• Analyze and refine incentive and marketing activity budgets to align with business objectives.
• Work on-site four days a week, with one remote day, ensuring close collaboration with team members.
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on P& L management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with multidimensional databases for data reconciliation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Technical expertise utilizing SAP (BPC module) and Oracle are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
• Proven experience creating and managing budgets for marketing and incentive activities.
• Knowledge of data mining techniques to extract and analyze relevant financial information.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote work effectively.
