Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Laguna Hills, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a seamless experience for patients and staff while utilizing your expertise in Epic Systems and bilingual communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities:
• Manage patient scheduling and appointment updates using Epic Systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee the registration and check-out processes for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding referrals, test results, prescriptions, and other concerns, connecting them to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain and update patient records in Epic Systems, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Work closely with medical staff to streamline patient flow and enhance service delivery.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence, to support the front desk operations.
• Answer incoming calls and provide information or direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Utilize basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure bilingual communication in English and Spanish to serve a diverse patient population. Requirements • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in using Epic Systems for scheduling, record management, and administrative tasks.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to support patient communication.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology to ensure accurate communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to handle patient interactions professionally.
• Ability to manage inbound calls and provide accurate information or route them effectively.
